Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival to be held at Guangzhou Culture Park

The annual Mid-Autumn Lantern Show at Guangzhou Culture Park is going to kick off. A total of 22 groups of lanterns have already been installed in the park with the theme of 24 solar terms.

All the lanterns will be lit up during October 3-5 to celebrate the Mid-autumn Festival (15th day of the 8th lunar month) that falls on Oct. 4 this year.

Mid-Autumn Lantern Show at Guangzhou Culture Park started in 1956 and has been very popular among citizens since then, with its lanterns are colorful and exquisite in so many shapes.

In addition, there is also a lantern show at Yuntai Garden, consisting of 17 lantern installations with three themes, namely ‘ancient forest’, ‘fantastic beast’, and ‘human and nature’.
