On Sept 21, the Media Briefing on Domestic Exhibition Affairs of the 14th China International Small and Medium Enterprises Fair (CISMEF) was held in Guangzhou. He Zuoxian, deputy director-general of the SME Bureau of Guangdong Province and director-general of Bureau of China International SME Fair as well as representatives of the organizers of the exhibitions at the 14th CISMEF attended the media briefing.
According to Mr. He, the domestic exhibition affairs of the 14th CISMEF has progressed smoothly and more than 90 percent of the promotion plan has already been fulfilled.
More than 2,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from 37 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions, as well as over 500 SMEs from 31 countries will participate in the 14th CISMEF. Domestic exhibitors are from fields such as intelligent manufacturing, energy conservation and environmental protection, electronic information, biotechnology, chemicals, construction, food, pharmaceuticals, handicrafts and textile and apparel.

The exhibitions will bring together upstream and downstream enterprises of all sizes. Intelligent Manufacturing and "Internet plus" Exhibition will attract 650 renowned domestic and overseas enterprises including Midea, Huawei, Baidu, Google, Didi and Kingdee to showcase their innovative industrial products and technologies, with seven theme zones including intelligent manufacturing, smart city and e-commerce to be presented.
Intelligent and Smart Home Exhibition covers five categories of the building materials and home furnishing industry, including ceramic and bathroom accessories, door and window coatings, and building materials and hardware, in which 500 brands will participate.
Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Exhibition will attract approximately 200 enterprises, and many major enterprises and institutions will present new energy-conserving products and technology solutions to help SMEs solve their technical problems of energy conservation.
Cross-border E-commerce Exhibition will attract more than 100 renowned cross-border e-commerce platforms and service providers such as Amazon, eBay, Alibaba, Onetouch, Jiacheng International Logistics, SF Express and Vipshop.
Ten matchmaking meetings will also be arranged during the 14th CISMEF, to facilitate precise matchmaking of exhibitors and purchasers, and create more opportunities for trade and cooperation. Professional forums will also be held to further promote the matchmaking.
Hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the State Administration for Industry and Commerce, the People's Government of Guangdong Province, the Ministry of Small Business Development of South Africa and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization, the 14th CISMEF offers 6,000 booths and covers an exhibition area of 150,000 square meters.
Overseas theme exhibition and domestic theme exhibitions will be held at the Poly World Trade Center Expo from Oct 10 to 13, 2017; Intelligent Manufacturing and "Internet plus" Exhibition, Smart Building Materials and Home Furnishing Exhibition, and Energy Conservation and Environmental Protection Exhibition will be held at the Guangdong Tanzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center from Oct 12 to 15 and from Oct 20 to 23.
