Residents of Guangzhou will be able to pay with WeChat for more public services, such as taking the bus or going to hospital. The Guangzhou government, traffic commission, human resources and social security bureau have respectively signed cooperation agreements with Tencent, the owner of WeChat, to promote the application of intelligent technology in various fields. Tencent will facilitate Guangzhou’s move to build an intelligent city, focusing on IAB, which refers to information Technology, artificial intelligence, and biopharmaceuticals.
