Based on that, Guangdong will continue to enhance trade and economic cooperation with Nepal, said Chen Yunxian, vice governor of Guangdong Province.
Mr. Ravi Bhattarai, the Consul General of Nepal in Guangzhou, also agreed that enhanced economic relations will follow the opening of the Consulate. He said, Guangdong offers, through the enhanced trade, investment, tourism and technology transfer, a huge market for a small economy like Nepal.
Exchange in the tourism sector is also important for Guangdong and Nepal. Nepal Airlines has already applied for a permit to operate direct flights between Kathmandu and Guangzhou.
