Travel agency managers and tourism investors from Guangdong landed in Bama Yao autonomous county by chartered airplane on Aug 25, hoping to tap into the tourism market in Hechi, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region.
The 152 guests from the Guangdong cities of Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Dongguan, Huizhou and Zhaoqing, attended a local tourism promotion conference hosted by Hechi Municipal Commission of Tourism Development. They also examined tourism products and routes in Bama, known as the "hometown of longevity" in China.
Agreements have been reached between the travel agencies from Guangdong and local tour operators in Hechi, in a bid to bring more Guangdong visitors to the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
