The man, only identified by his surname Chen, claims that the incident took place on August 18, 2017, when he and his friend opened the window of their vehicle to feed the bear when he was attacked.
"We were struck dumb with terror," said Chen.
The man also claims staff at the Safari Park were unhelpful after the attack took place, alleging the staff at the Park refused to assist him in the aftermath of the attack, which saw him suffer puncture wounds to his left arm.

"I admit that I made the mistake to open the window. However, when I asked for help, suffering from pain and fear, they just told me to go to the hospital," said Chen.
Park visitors are clearly warned not to open their doors or windows while driving through the enclosure area. In November, 2016, a woman was killed and another severely injured after they opened their vehicle doors while in the Tiger enclosure at the Park.
