There is such a kind of place that protects the forest, provides livable, recreational environment, is suitable for tourism, and better cultivates ecological public-welfare forests. This place creates comfortable living environment for human. That’s what a forest town can and will do.
Good news for those who adore forest town: a bunch of forest towns are coming to Guangzhou. According to the Administration of Forestry and Gardening of Guangzhou Municipality, 17 forest towns will be built in Guangzhou by 2020, with a total investment of RMB 850 million.
These towns will be built in two batches and mainly located in the suburbs of Guangzhou. Two kinds of forest towns will be designed, Lingnan watertown style and ecotourism style. They will be based on the current natural conditions and humanity conditions, protecting the original pastoral sceneries and natural resources of the villages.
In the future, when you walk into a forest town in Guangzhou, you will experience rich cultural deposits and colorful folk activities.
