French architect Paul Andreu visits Hengqin

Renowned French architect Paul Andreu visited the Hengqin New Area on the invitation of the Zhuhai Da Heng Qin Pan-Tourism Development Co., Ltd. on May 11, Shenzhen Evening News reports.

Hengqin New Area is seeking a world-class design by the 81-year-old architect who conceived of the plans for the National Grand Theater of China, Shanghai Oriental Art Center, and Guangzhou Gymnasium.

Paul Andreu was joined by other architects. Hengqin aims to develop an international high-quality cultural and art building standard. To accomplish this, the area will rely on the architects' influence to connect with quality resources such as world-class culture and art galleries, exhibitions and events, and experiential art-themed businesses.
