An earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale jolted 42km ENE of Nishinoomote, Japan at 12:32:32 GMT on Saturday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
The epicenter, with a depth of 21.39 km, was initially determined to be at 30.8134 degrees north latitude and 131.4291 degrees east longitude.
