Zhuhai held a forum on aviation industry development to attract more investment from the US on April 20.The event was part of the 2017 China (Guangdong)-US Investment Cooperation Conference held in Guangzhou on April 20.
Sponsored by the Guangdong government and the US Chamber of Commerce, the forum attracted more than 250 US and Guangdong enterprises.
Zhuhai is not an unfamiliar name in global innovation, hosting Airshow China every two years.
Zhuhai is the host of the China International Aviation & Aerospace Exhibition because of the high priority the government gives to creating a business-friendly environment.

Lu Xiaofeng, vice mayor of Zhuhai detailed the city's policies, transport network, and its experience in carrying out low-altitude airspace management reform.
"We are making efforts to build a competitive and influential aviation manufacturing base integrating production and research," Lu said.
Domestic attendees such as China Aviation Industry General Aircraft talked about the broad prospects of Sino-US cooperation in general aviation.
The event also included a session for entrepreneurs seeking investment opportunities in the fields of medical and biological technology, as well as innovative equipment.
According to statistics, the US is Zhuhai's largest foreign trade partner, investing $2.1 billion in 2016. As of the end of February this year, the country has become Zhuhai's second largest overseas investment destination, with a total investment of $1.7 billion across 62 projects. Fields are related to aviation manufacturing, electronic information, and bio-medicine.
