Guangzhou has been making efforts to improve its transportation system. Recently, Guangzhou has painted yellow “no-parking” lines on the street for the first time.
Anyone who park cars within the no-parking zone will be fined 200 yuan and lose 3 points in driving record. Drivers who lose 12 points in one year should retake the test of driving theory, according to the traffic regulation.
For illegal parking, the traffic police will issue a parking ticket or even remove the car if the driver is out.
The lines now can be found on Lingyuan West Road, Haifeng Road, Machang Road and Shangzhu Street and will cover other roads in the future.
In addition, starting from April 1, Guangdong will cancel long-distance driving test, according to Guangdong Provincial Public Security Department. Those who have booked the test, and who failed before and should make up the test, can go straight to the rest tests.
