As the host city of 2017 Fortune Global Forum, Guangzhou has been gaining much attention from mainstream media overseas, especially US mainstream media recently. USA Today, Wall Street Journal and New York Times published articles about Guangzhou’s development.
On March 15, local time, New York Times published an article titled “Guangzhou Emerging International Hub Fueling Economic Growth”, introducing Guangzhou’s openness in international trade and investment as well as its preferential policies on recruiting overseas talents.
On March 14, local time, Wall Street Journal published an article titled “In Southern China, financial services companies are cashing in”, fully displaying the development of Guangzhou’s financial industry.
A full-page feature containing two articles of Guangzhou was published on USA Today on March 13, local time. One is titled “Guangzhou takes off at ‘World’s Crossroads’ in transition to China’s ‘Capital of E-commerce’”, and the other “Guangzhou Development District: The Rising Core Area of International Scientific and Technological Innovation Hub”.
