4 more metro lines will be launched in Guangzhou by the end of 2017

Guangzhou Metro announced an excited news on its annual summary conference that by the end of 2017 they will present 4 new metro lines - Line 4 from Fei Sha Jiao to Nansha Passenger Port, Line 9, Line 13 (phase one) from Yuzhu to Xinsha Road and Line of China & Singapore Knowledge City.

After these 4 lines launched, the total distance of Guangzhou Metro will reach 390 kilometers.

Now, the extension of Line 4 is being constructed in Nansha District, which includes 6 stations: Fei Sha Jiao-Guanglong-Dayong-Tangkeng-Nanheng-Nansha Passenger Port.

Guangzhou Metro Line 9 has 11 stations. The whole line goes through Huadu District and connects Huadu District to the city center of Guangzhou. The 11 stations of Line 9 are as follows:

Feie Ling-Huadu Automobile Industry Base-Guangzhou North Railway station-Huacheng Road-Huaguoshan Park-Huadu Square-Maanshan Park-Liantang Cun-Qingbu-Qingtang-Gaozeng

The total mileage of Line 13 is 60.7 kilometer, which connects Huangpu District to Zengcheng District.

The whole construction will be divided in two phase. The phase one has 11 stations which include Yuzhu-Yufeng Wei-Shuanggang-Nanhai Temple-Xiayuan-Nangang-Wenyong-Baijiang-Xintang-Guanhu-Xinsha Road.

The Line of China & Singapore Knowledge City has 10 stations. They are: Xinhe, Knowledge City North, Matou Zhuang, Fengxia, Knowledge City, Knowledge City South, Wangcun, Kangda, Zhenlong North and Zhenlong.

It is also reported that Guangzhou Metro has transported more than 2 billion passengers in 2016, which ranked No.1 in China. The average daily passenger volume is about 7.2 million, while the highest record was nearly 9 million in 2016.

Although the passenger volume brought enormous pressure, the on-schedule rate reached 99.96% in 2016. Furthermore, the operation services of Guangzhou Metro ranked the first place in the world, which assessed by CoMET in 2015.
