Guangzhou witnessed 22 days of good air quality in January

According to the air quality data released by Guangzhou Environmental Protection Bureau, Guangzhou enjoyed good air quality on 71.0 percent of days in January. The average density of PM2.5, fine particulate matter that causes smog, stood at 54 micrograms per cubic meter, and PM10 readings reached 76 micrograms per cubic meter.

Based on the comprehensive index of ambient air quality, Conghua, Zengcheng, Huangpu and Hudu districts enjoyed fairly good air quality, while the air quality of Liwan, Haizhu and Panyu districts was relatively poor. Among the 11 administrative districts of Guangzhou, Conghua District topped the list of good air quality in January.
