Guangdong's tourism revenue is Spring Festival's highest

Twenty-eight provinces disclosed their tourism revenue during for the 2017 Spring Festival Holiday. Guangdong's total revenue of 36.64 billion yuan (about US$5.34 billion) topped the list, people.cn reported.

Sichuan Province received about 63.8 million tourists during the holiday, the highest in China. A total of 15 provinces received tourism revenue of over 10 billion yuan. Respectively, they are Guangdong, Sichuan, Hubei, Zhejiang, Shandong, Shaanxi, Anhui, Hunan, Yunnan, Fujian, Hainan, Heilongjiang, Liaoning, Jiangxi and Chongqing.

Yunnan's tourism revenue grew 70.6 percent year on year, the fastest among the 28 provinces.

China National Tourism Administration estimates that the country received 344 million tourists during the holiday; with total tourism revenue reaching 423.3 billion yuan. Many tourists flocked to Sanya, Xiamen, Harbin, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Chengdu and Guilin.
