On Jan. 18, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum Professor Klaus Schwab met with Party Chief of Guangzhou Ren Xuefeng in Davos, Switzerland.
Professor Klaus Schwab showed gratitude to Ren's eighth participation in the World Economic Forum and gave congrats to the great success of the 2016 World Economic Forum’s China Business Roundtable held in Guangzhou. Schwab said Guangzhou is a beautiful, innovative and open city with increasingly close cooperation with World Economic Forum. He suggested Guangzhou be an active participator in deep cooperation of jointly developing industry network ecological chain.
Ren thanked Professor Klaus Schwab for promoting the cooperation between the World Economic Forum and Guangzhou. Ren said, President Xi's speech is inspiring and shows direction for world economic development and global governance.
Ren also said, Guangzhou focuses on the development of artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing and internet plus in the new round of technical revolution. Via the World Economic Forum, Guangzhou has successfully lured Cisco China Innovation Center, GE Bio-tech Park and Foxconn 10.5-generation panel plant.
