The 1st Session of the 9th Zhuhai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) closed at the Great Hall of Zhuhai on Jan 12. The newly elected members of the 9th Zhuhai Municipal Committee of CPPCC, including Chairman Chen Honghui, vice-chairmen Zhu Quanwei, Pan Ming and Zhang Song, as well as secretary general Ouyang Dehong attended the closing meeting. Chen presided over the session.
City Party Chief Guo Yuanqiang; Mayor Zheng Renhao; Wang Guangquan, chairman of the Standing Committee of the Municipal People's Congress, along with other senior city officials were also seated on the podium, hailing the successful conclusion of the session.

The CPPCC Guangdong provincial committee members and organization leader delegates from Hong Kong, Macao, and Zhuhai attended the session. Also among the attendees were prominent overseas Chinese and Taiwan businesspeople.
Prior to the closing session, the vice-chairman of the CPPCC Zhuhai Municipal Committee, Zhu Quanwei, chaired an election process. By secret ballot, the chairman, vice-chairmen, secretary general and standing committee members for the 9th Zhuhai Municipal Committee of CPPCC were elected. Chen Honghui has been chosen as chairman and the newly elected vice-chairmen are Zhu Quanwei, Pan Ming, Zhang Song, Liang Yuandong, Chen Renfu, Huang Wenzhong, and Peng Hong.
Ouyang Dehong has been elected secretary general while Ding Zhiwei along with 44 other members form the Standing Committee of the 9th Zhuhai Municipal Committee of CPPCC.
The 1st Session Resolution of the 9th Zhuhai Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference was passed by voting during the closing meeting. As of 8 am, Jan 12, the session had received 350 proposals and 325 of them will be registered.
