With a turnover of 600 million RMB, the 21st Guangzhou International Art Fair lowered the curtain at Canton Fair Complex on the afternoon of Dec. 5. This is also the highest turnover over the years.
250,000 visitors attended the art fair. 20,000 art pieces were exhibited by 350 art institutes from 35 countries and regions in the world.
According to statistics, over 90% of the exhibitors concluded transactions in this art fair.
America’s Leona Craig Art sold a total of 7 works by Pablo Picasso, with a total value of around 2 million RMB. The “Luncheon on the Grass” by Pablo Picasso, one of the biggest highlights of the art fair, also received many inquiries.
A set of artworks by Li Zhongchun, painter of traditional Chinese paintings, was sold at 1.2 million RMB. This is the highest transaction price in this art fair. The artwork is composed of four paintings, themed on Spring, Summer, Autumn, and Winter respectively.
