Want to try VR products like HoloLen? Here comes a fantastic chance to see the VR magnates in Asia and experience their latest products. The Asia VR&AR Fair and Summit will be held in Guangzhou from 8th to 11th, March, 2017.
A series of well-known Asian enterprises have impressed the global market with their VR products. According to a report from 01 consulting, Samsung, HTC and Xiaomi respectively took up 7%, 6% and 4% of the global VR market in 2016.
IT magnates in China including Alibaba, Tencent and Baidu also enter the market with distinguished VR&AR products. For example, Alibaba found its GnomeMagic Lab (GM Lab) this year. The lab aims to build the world’s biggest 3D virtual mall.
"We might be able to experience shopping in the Fifth Avenue at home with the development of VR technology in the near future," said Zhao Haiping, the core member of the GM Lab.
Besides, international investment and cooperation in the VR&AR industry are growing rapidly. Wang Congqing, the President of HTC China, revealed that they invested 33 VR companies in the second half of 2016. 60% of them are from China while 40% are from oversea.
"Cooperating with others effectively help the company for technical innovation," said Wang, "we make our VR headsets wireless through working with a China’s company, TPCAST." And companies including Tencent and Lenovo invested USD 50 million to Meta, a US startup, for R&D of its AR headset.
