A series of new policies are to be initiated to simplify the complicated and time-consuming license application process for businesses, according to Henqin Industrial and Commercial Bureau.
Previously, anyone wants to start a business must apply for a business certificate before obtaining a business license from industrial and commercial bureaus. Only with both the certificate and the license at hand can a business start operation. As it usually takes too long to apply for the two documents, starting a business is never an easy job in China. However, under the new policy, the only requisite document for starting general businesses in Henqin is a business certificate while special businesses such as banking and financing are required to apply for these two documents. But even the special ones will spend less time in application because only 14 items remain to be approved. The time spent during the application process has shortened greatly.
The Industrial and Commercial Bureau of Hengqin has made it clear that business supervision has been intensified to prevent bad apples that can destabilize the market from utilizing the latest policies.
