The 118th Canton Fair will fall on October 15, this year. It is estimated that about 600 enterprises from 50 countries and regions will display their products at the international pavilion.
The international pavilion will be set up in phase 1 (Oct. 15-19) and phase 3 (Oct. 31 - Nov. 4) of 118th Canton Fair.
That pavilion will provide an area of 20,000 square meters for the exhibited products including electronics & household electrical appliances, building materials & hardware, machinery equipment, food & drink, fabrics & home textiles, according to Xiao Rong, the general manager of China Foreign Trade Center.
On the 118th session of Canton Fair, enterprises from Australia and Argentina will first come to attend the international pavilion. As China and Australia have reached a Free Trade Agreement (FTA), Australian trade delegation is to have further negotiation with Chinese enterprises this time.
Besides exhibition, a trade negotiation activity will be set up for Chinese enterprises and Australian enterprises on the fair.
“Canton Fair is an important platform to help Chinese enterprises to go aboard.” said Li Dan, the director of Exhibition Promotion Office of Guangzhou Municipal Commission of Commerce. Guangzhou enterprises are encouraged to visit international pavilion in Canton Fair and have more exchanges with foreign enterprises.
Moreover, with the support of various measures for facilitating trade and investment in Nansha FTZ, Guangzhou enterprises can further their economic and trade cooperation with “One Belt One Road” countries.
