A China Southern Airlines plane was forced to make an emergency landing at Shenyang Taoxian International Airport (SHE) early Thursday because a fire alarm went off in the cargo hold.
According to China Southern Airlines' North Branch , Flight CZ3938 en route from Changchun to Qingdao made the emergency landing as a safety precaution after a fire warning triggered off in the cargo hold.
Four passengers got injured during the emergency evacuations and they were taken to the hospital, while others were provided with accommodation, the airline said in a statement.
Subsequent security examinations found that the aircraft and cargo were safe. The cargo hold was opened up to see whether there was a fire, and neither fire nor smoke was found in the hold.
