A new high-speed train runs from Shenzhen North to Chongqing North will be operated on July 31, according to Nanfang Daily. The train shortens the time cost between the two cities to 11 hours 52 minutes, which is more than 20 hours less than the one costs by normal train.
The train takes off at 7:43 am in Shenzhen North, and arrives at Chongqing North at 7:35 pm, via 14 stations including Guangzhou South, Chenzhou West, Changsha South, Wuhan and Hankou.
Tickets are available online on the official website www.12306.cn. Travelers can also buy tickets at train station, or dialing 12306 to book ticket in advance. The price of the train includes 2,472.5 RMB for Business Class, 1,164 RMB for First Class, and 808 RMB for Second Class.
Official from Guangzhou Railway Corp. said the route fulfills the transportation needs between Pearl River Delta and Chengdu-Chongqing, providing options for traveling. On May 21, the high-speed train has been already operated from Guangzhou to Chonqing and Chengdu. It costs 11 hours 7 minutes from Guangzhou South to Chongqing North with price no less than 720 RMB.
