Beihuan Boulevard connecting Luohu and Bao’an districts is predicted to face heavy traffic in the morning rush hour during workdays this week, while traffic congestion is most likely to hit the area between Caitian Road and Shangbu Road in Futian District during the evening rush hour.
The Shenzhen transportation commission Sunday released a traffic forecast, listing a few main roads that may experience traffic congestion during weekdays.
A person from the commission said the forecast is based on analysis of data from traffic monitoring systems.
The control center used data from seven main roads in central Shenzhen, including Beihuan Boulevard, Shennan Boulevard and Binhe Boulevard to study the traffic for this week.
It’s predicted that there are at least three intersections on Beihuan Boulevard that will experience heavy traffic from around 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. The three sections are located around Xinzhou Road-Xiangmihu (westbound), Longzhu Road 4-Keyuan Road and Nanshan Boulevard-Keyuan Road (eastbound).
For the evening rush hour, traffic is predicted to be the worst between Caitian Road and Shangbu Road (eastbound) from 5:30 p.m. until 8:45 p.m.
The staff said residents can visit the website sztb.gov.cn (Chinese language) to check the forecast of the traffic congestion every week. The forecast is also available on the commission’s official account of Tencent Weibo and Sina Weibo. For WeChat users, detailed information can be found on a public account called “Jiaotongzaishou (交通在手).”
