The GDP of Guangzhou increased by 8.1% in first half of 2015 to hit 828.5 billion yuan, 1.1% higher than that of the whole country and 0.4% higher than the province.
The index of investment, consumption and export saw double-digit growth. The export which faced great impact on last year, showed recovery as the volume hit 234.5 billion yuan, up 29.8%. The export & import value for cross border e-commerce which is in focus, has already surpassed the data of last year, reached 29 billion yuan.
On the other hand, the city government also expanded financial input on high-tech and start-up incubators. The total areas of incubator increased 200,000m2. The enterprises that are being cultivated reached 566 of which contained 117 researchers or research institutes. With the deepening of business registration reform, the newly-registered domestic and foreign market players rose by 9.7 % and 29.1% respectively.
