The China-Malaysia Friendship Park opened in Putrajaya, Malaysia on Tuesday to welcome friends from all walks of life of both nations.
The park is built in celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of China-Malaysia diplomatic relations.
It is a joint project of the Dongguan city of South China's Guangdong province, Putrajaya Corporation of Malaysia, and Malaysia-China Friendship Association.
It will also be a tourist attraction to add international feature to Putrajaya, said Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor, minister of Malaysian Federal Territory.
Yang Xiaotang, deputy mayor of the Dongguan City, said Malaysia and Dongguan have time-honored friendship and communication, adding that he hopes the China-Malaysia Friendship Park in Dongguan will be completed soon so that locals can learn more about Malaysia traditional culture.
Chinese ambassador to Malaysia Huang Huikang and secretary general of Malaysia-China Friendship Association Tan Khai Hee attended the opening activity.
