Local authorities of Hengqin New District will provide public education for Macao residents' children on free at public schools.
Hong Chuangxiong, the deputy director of the management committee of Hengqin New District, announced that the local authorities will provide public education for Macao residents' children and will exempt them from paying tuition at public schools.
The policy is one of a series of new policies that the Hengqin Free Trade Zone is set to publish to enhance the livelihood of Macau residents in Hengqin and the administrative decision-making system.
The Hengqin New District management committee will also cooperate with the United States' Massachusetts General Hospital to provide medical services for Macao residents living in the district.
A Macao official indicated that the Hengqin government will also set aside a special area to be made into a retirement community for elderly Macau residents.
