The Consulate General of Switzerland in Guangzhou organized a reception to celebrate the 728th anniversary of the Swiss Confederation at the Grand Hyatt Guangzhou on August 1.

Mr. Martin Bienz, the Consul General of Switzerland in Guangzhou described the relations between Switzerland and China as friendly, strong, constructive and intensifying. Mr. Zhang Jiaji, the vice chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), also expressed positive prospects for future cooperation between Guangdong and Switzerland during his address.

The audience enjoyed music performances by two renowned musicians including Ms. Eliane Amherd from Switzerland and Ms. Zhou Xiaoyu from Guangzhou.
