On the occasion to pay tribute to mothers on their day, the Commercial Office of Ecuador in Guangzhou - PROECUADOR, in cooperation with the advertising agency Guangzhou Metro GZMDecaux and Wansheng Plaza Shopping Center; held the award ceremony for the campaign "Presenting My Mother, Beautiful as a Rose", on May 13th, 2018.
This campaign was conducted through multiple forms, including visiting users to post their photos through wechat and randomly select lucky winner to receive a gift of the most beautiful Ecuadorian rose, exquisite aromatic coffee and chocolate. The campaign also invited interaction with audience, through photos with audience’s mother, the audience received a nice Ecuadorian gift. This campaign has received active participation from the public, and the on-site activities were also very welcomed by the audience.
The cooperation between ProEcaudor and the world renowned advertisement company JCDecaux shortened the cultural and economic distance between Ecuador and China, enhanced the efforts of public-private work in terms of the development of the bilateral economy and trade, where the Commercial Offices of ProEcuador play a fundamental role in presenting and promoting "The Best of Ecuador" to the world, generated new opportunities for cooperation for Ecuadorian exporter to the Chinese market.

During 2017, Ecuador positioned itself as the main exporter of Roses and Gypsophila in the Chinese market, with a total exported volume of around 1,200 tons; this is due to the fact that their roses are cultivated in lands near the slopes of volcanoes, positioning Ecuador as "the closest country to the sun". Ecuadorian roses are also well known for their long stems and colorful petals, providing a longer shelf life after cutting, compared with those of other regions. Unique climates and soils in Ecuador and cultivation techniques, gives Ecuadorian high-end coffee and chocolate special high quality organoleptic characteristics, that allow them to satisfy the most demanding consumers.
