Write Italian travel diary, win roundtrip tickets from China to Italy

The Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou launches a contest of writing Italian travel diary from June 1 to September 30, 2017. Prizes include roundtrip tickets from China to Italy, Caffitaly coffee machines, and Rayban sunglasses. Here are the details of the contest.

Introduction

The contest aims to give visibility to interesting and original Italian tourist itineraries through stories related to the theme of Travel in Italy. A prize will be given to the best original stories, written or drawn, video-photo reportage, diary or comics concerning the travel experience in Italy, with particular attention to those who, beyond travel as a physical experience, will highlight the relationship between peoples and cultures or will cast a new light upon places already well known.

Time for submission: from June 1 to September 30, 2017

Final selection: from October 9 to 22, 2017

Participation requirements:

All Chinese tourists who have obtained a visa for Italy from the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou starting from the month before the opening of the competition (from 1 May 2017) can participate.

How to participate:

Participants will create a travel diary in any way they consider appropriate, for example: movie, paper diary, collection of commented photos, cartoon, comics book, photo story ...

The diary, depending on the format chosen, will be sent to the Consulate General of Italy in Guangzhou, by mail (Unit 1403, IFP, n.8 Hua Xia Road, Guangzhou 510623, China), by email (consolato.canton@gmail.com), or posting the diary on Weibo @意大利驻穗总领事馆

The diary should contain the image of at least two Italian cities, and an image of the participant (“selfie”).

Each participant may only submit one travel journal for the competition. Only original works of the participants are allowed. Photos, movies, artworks by others cannot be submitted.

The works shall not exceed 4,000 characters including spaces and punctuation (whether in Italian or English), in Chinese shall not exceed 1000 characters.

Other art works should not be bigger than A4 size (21cm x 29.7cm), and it is possible to participate with a minimum of 2 sheets up to a maximum of 6, with color or black and white illustrations and drawings.

Videos cannot exceed 10M and must be in a format compatible with Wechat and Weibo.

Participating authors will leave to the organizer the right to publish and / or use their work free of charge; the organizer reserves the right to select, at its sole discretion, the works most suitable for its promotional purposes, that should always be no profit.

Works submitted for the competition will not be given back, the organizer will not acknowledge receipt of them either. The Organizer is not responsible for any loss of any kind that may occur during the submission of the works.

Voting method:

Diaries received in due time will be selected by a Jury of the Consulate. The two best will be declared winners, there will be prizes also for the second and third positions.

Second Prize: Each of the two winners will receive a Caffitaly coffee machine

Third Prize: Each of the two winners will receive a pair of Rayban sunglasses
