Update on Indonesia’s Economy provided in Guangzhou

Titled “Indonesia’s economy update: Dividends of reforms”, a symposium was held by the Indonesian Consulate General to provide an update on Indonesia’s economy in Guangzhou on March 16, 2017.

Ms. Silvy Gayatri, Consul General of Indonesia in Guangzhou, Mr. Reza Anglingkusumo, Head of the Office of Indonesia’s Central Bank in Tokyo and representatives of bank, finance, investment and academic institution from Guangzhou attended the symposium.

2017 marks the 67th anniversary of China-Indonesia diplomatic relations. “The relations grow smoothly as reflected in various number of cooperation in the fields of politics, economy, socio-cultural affairs, security, counter terrorism, tourism as well as people-to-people links,” said Ms. Silvy Gayatri.

Keynote speaker Mr. Reza Anglingkusumo briefed the guests about the current Indonesia’s economy and had a discussion with the guests, exploring cooperation opportunities in the future.

Mr. Lu who worked in Indonesia for several years and recently returned to Guangzhou told the reporter that he found the symposium very beneficial. “Ms. Silvy Gayatri and Mr. Reza Anglingkusumo introduced many up-to-date situations of Indonesia, which allows Chinese investors to know more about Indonesia.”
