Direct patient-doctor communication without going to hospital

Nowadays, the common scene in top-rated hospitals is long long queues. To avoid patients spending hours to wait for a 5-minute diagnosis, the Second People's Hospital of Guangdong launched this online hospital, with doctors selected from local top-rated hospitals.

The network will cover local community health centers, village clinics, large chain pharmacies and health rooms. Patients can talk to doctors directly and buy pills prescribed by doctors after a video chat with doctors. It targets mainly patients with common diseases and chronic disease.

The network hospital enables the direct patient-doctor communication rather than doctor-doctor communication, which is different from tele-medical treatment.

10,000 network sites to be set up at the end of the year

Currently, 30 network sites for online diagnosis have been established in Guangdong, with over 100 patients getting treatment per day.

The time for online diagnosis is in line with the business hours of pharmacies, which is: 9:00-12:00、14:00:30-17:30、19:00-21:00.The service is for free for the time being.

The Second People's Hospital of Guangdong is planning to expand the network sites to 10,000 at the end of the year.

The convenient service is believed to leave more space and time for hospitals to treat emergency cases and improve the hospital environment.
