The Public Security Department of Guangdong recently had arrested 13 suspects for making and selling drug ice. Two guns and about 1700 kg half-finished drug ice was found in the gang's two workshops and one drug storage place. Head of the gang, surnamed Yuan, was a suspect of another drug making聽case.
After a year's effort, Guangzhou police, under the help of Guangdong and Fujian police, successfully found the gang's drug storage in Guangzhou, and two workshops, one in Pearl River Delta and the other in Fujian.
In its Guangdong workshop, police seized about 1.7 tons of half-finished drug ice and drug making tools. According to Guangdong Public Security Department, the workshop was well equipped for making drug and was the largest in size they ever found.
The workshops applied for operation license as a chemical factory, and the suspect told the workers they employed that they were聽producing painting oils.
The police took action 8 days before the workshop completed its production line installation and successfully stopped their mass production of drug ice.
And in its Guangzhou storage and Fujian workshop, more tools and raw materials for drug ice making were found.
