A 44-year-old woman in south China's Guangdong Province who was suspected to have bird flu died at 9: 25 this morning, the provincial health department confirmed Today (Feb. 25).
The migrant worker, surnamed Zhang, was found to have had contact with poultry died of illness and have had developed symptoms of fever and cough since February 16, the department said.
The patient was hospitalized last Friday in Haifeng County in Shanwei City, and the provincial health department had organized an expert team to carry out treatment for the patient.
At present, no similar symptom was found among the people who has had close contact with the patient recently.
