To narrow the gap between Pearl River Delta region and the less-developed west, east wing and north mountainous area, is a big challenge Guangdong is facing. Guangdong Party Secretary Wang Yang, presiding a Guangdong delegation, visited Jiangsu today and said "Jiangsu has set good examples in its regional development and Guangdong can learn from it."
The Pearl River Delta region and Yangtze River Delta region will jointly performed as engine of China鈥檚 economy, and contribute more to sharp the edge of the country鈥檚 international competitiveness, said Wang.
Guangdong delegation visit Jiangsu
The two provinces hold a conference and agreed to strengthen cooperation in the areas of industry, technology, tourism and talents, after a visit by senior Guangdong officials to Jiangsu.
The Guangdong delegation, which arrived in Shanghai on Sunday and left on Monday for Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces, comprised more than 70 senior officials from the province's Party and government, in a purpose of learning new experience of reform and innovation from other cities and provinces.
