The First Session of 10th Guangdong Provincial Committee of Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) closed on Sunday (January 20) after electing chairman, vice chairman, secretary-general and 180 members of the provincial CPPCC sanding committee.

Chen Shaoji, remains chairman of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPPCC, and Cai Dongshi, Liang Guoju, Tang Bingquan, Wang Xuzhang, Zhou Tianhong, Yao Zhibin, Chen Weiwen, Wen Lanzi and Wen Simei were elected as vice chairpersons of the Provincial Committee, in which Tang Bingquan, Wen Lanzi and Wen Simei were newly elected.

Yang Dong remains the Secretary-General of the Guangdong Provincial Committee of CPPCC.

Chairman Chen Shaoji vowed to fully carry out the function of Political Consultative Conference and serve for the scientific development of Guangdong province.

The CPPCC is a patriotic united front organization of the Chinese people, serving as a key mechanism for multi-party cooperation and political consultation under the leadership of the Communist Party of China, and a major manifestation of socialist democracy.
