22 advisors and observers of Guangdong province, featuring the CEOs, Chairpersons and Presidents of the world leading companies and higher education institutes, will gather in White Swan Hotel with Guangdong officials from Wednesday to Friday to discuss the ways to build an innovative Guangdong to transform the province’s economic development pattern on this year’s Guangdong International Consultant Conference on the Future Economic Development.

Besides the close-door conference, the advisors and observers will have seminars, speeches and interviews in the province. And some of them will also visit the projects their institutes started or will start in the province. On Nov 13 and 14, AIG and Autodesk will respectively sign cooperation contacts with the Finance-related hi-tech service zone in Nanhai, while Siemens will start a rural project in the province. The new projects these institutes bring are all related to the innovation power enhancement and the industrial structure optimization of the province.

Since 1999, Guangdong started the GDICC mechanism, inviting the leaders of the world top companies to discuss the challenges the province is facing in its social and economic development and seek cooperation. And this year, the province expects to see the participating companies to expand their investment in the province’s innovation industries and other high value-added projects.
