The Australian Consulate-General Guangzhou holds an exhibition 鈥淎 Secret History of Blue and White鈥 at Guangdong Shiwan Ceramics Museum at Foshan from 10 to 30 November 2007.

This exhibition highlights the diversity and strength of Australian ceramics and positions it within European and Asian ceramic histories. The exhibition includes works by five contemporary Australian artists who have individually contributed to the success of Australian craft. Each artist explores the potency of 鈥榖lue and white鈥 within their practice, acknowledging its historical weight and cultural clich茅s.
This year is the 35th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Australia and the People鈥檚 Republic of China. The Australian Consulate-General Guangzhou will organize a series of culture events for this special occasion with A Secret History of Blue and White exhibition as the opening event.
