Japan is the co-host of the upcoming China International SME Fair and a delegation with 482 enterprises and over 1,000 delegates will join the annual SME gala held in Guangzhou.
Yesterday, before the business exchange begin, Zhang Dejiang, Party Secretary of Guangdong met with Mr. Yuji Miyamoto, Japanese Ambassador to China in Guangzhou. Zhang said Guangdong and Japan had been very close business partners for years. The trade volume of the two places added up to 48 billion USD last year, and 26.3 billion USD in the first half of this year. Currently, Guangdong has 1,600 Japanese-funded enterprises, including those invested by the three automobile giants, Honda, Toyota and Nissan.
Zhang added the coming SME Fair is a very good chance for the SMEs from both places to enhance exchange and cooperation, and is expected to push the Guangdong-Japan cooperation steps forward.
Mr. Yuji Miyamoto highly praised the investment environment of Guangdong and said the stories of many Japanese-funded enterprises' business success here in Guangdong will attract more Japanese capital inflow in the future.
