Guangdong wins the Champion of University Games- China - News Brief

The 8th National University Games closed in Guangzhou on July 26, the host Guangdong outdid other provincial delegations in the medal list with 59 golds out of 225 competitions.

Following Guangdong is the delegations of Tianjin and Jiangsu.

This is the largest sports events ever for Chinese universities, with 34 delegations and 6000 students from all over China.

Most of the sports events were held in Guangzhou University town, which will also be the venue for the Guangzhou Asian Games 2010.

The Ninth Games will be held in Tianjin.
