Guandong Enterprises now has fewer than one month to prepare for the EuP Directive, which will enact on August 11. According to Guangzhou Daily's report yesterday, now the Guangdong machinery enterprises are busy improving their eco-design so as to be subject to the EuP's requirement.
Even though not fully defined and implemented in the individual EU member states, the EuP Directive has significant implications for a manufacturer's new product development activities.聽 Guangdong enterprises need to consider energy budgets for when the product is in use and during all other phases of the lifecycle. And local government departments are urged by the related provincial authorities to guide enterprises in enhancing their design power to meet the new standard and to set up related product eco-design assessment system.
