Celestial Duck is a famous dish originated from Kong Fu Mansion, where the well-known ideologists- Confucius and his family belongs. It is said that the dish first presented at the time of the seventy-fourth generation of grandson of Confucius, Kong Fanpo. When he was the magistrate of Tongzhou county of Shanxi Province, the chef of the mansion cooked the dish in a special way. He removed the skeleton of the duck, seasoned it and put it into a bowl with a cover. Put the bowl in a food steamer. Meat becomes tender and aromatic. Kong Fanpo tasted it and found it distinctive. The time for steaming is three incenses lighting out. The dish had better taste than others, so it is named Celestial Duck.
