Meizhou in northeast Guangdong is known as the Capital of Hakka in the World. Numerous natural scenic spots make it become one of the most popular tourist destinations in Guangdong province.
1. The Bai Zhang Zai Canyon
The Bai Zhang Zai Canyon got the name from its height which is more than a hundred zhang (a Chinese unit of length, equals to 3.33 meters). During the wet seasons, spring and summer, streams gathered on the top of the canyon and then poured down along ladder-like cliffs. It produces a 60-meter-high and 40-meter-wide waterfall, the Bai Zhang Zai Waterfall, which is the biggest one in the northeast Guangdong.
