Sponsored by the Art Discovery Fund and Ferrero China, a touring exhibition composed of more than 300 works from 70 artists, is on view at the Redtory Creative Zone. Named "Discovery Incorporating Art into Daily Life," the show aims to bring more ordinariness to the world of art, with an eye on discovery. The works focus on the subject of natural landscapes and offer perspectives on social topics such as lost children and the horror of murder.
Most of the artists graduated from China's famous art academies. They live in Songzhuang (宋庄), a Beijing village that draws young artists for their creative abilities. Most of them lack the opportunity to be famous and rich. The foundation builds a platform to showcase their talent to the market and promotes the artwork as collectibles that can be acquired by ordinary families. Thus, most of the exhibition pieces are affordably priced.
The exhibit will remain at Redtory until September 14 at the F10 Hall, and then will tour in Shanghai, Beijing, Hangzhou and Xiamen.
