Wang Yiyan, a 10-year-old Beijing girl, is presented with flowers after swimming across the Qiongzhou Strait on Monday. She became the youngest person to cross the 21.8km strait after swimming for 10 hours and five minutes. She entered the water in Xuwen County in western Guangdong Province and arrived at the destination in Haidian Island in Haikou City, Hainan Province, at 4.11 p.m. Monday.
