THE 11th Shenzhen International Toy and Gift Fair, which opened Thursday, has attracted some 1,100 exhibitors, a record high.

About 20 percent of the exhibitors are from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, said the organizers.

The fair has attracted about 6,000 buyers from the United States, Japan, Britain, Germany, Canada, Australia, Israel, South Korea, Singapore, Netherlands, Hong Kong and Taiwan.

With the home electric appliances leading the displays, the fair had 1,600 exhibition stalls, covering an area of 32,000 sqm.

According to the organizers, the number of exhibitors has been growing by 25 percent a year in the past two years.
