Besides the Shekou bar street and a bar street at CITIC plaza in Futian District, revellers will have another bar street to go to for a night out, as the Kingway Bar Plaza opened in Luohu District on Monday.

Built on the former complex of the Shenzhen Kingway Brewery Company, the bar plaza is special because people can drink beer fresh from the Kingway brewery. In addition, a barbeque and snazzy shows add more fun and flavor to a relaxing night.

"Beer is related to culture. For example, Germany is well-known for its annual Munich Beer Festival. With folk activities and a beer carnival, the plaza is aimed to make people know about beer rather than to encourage them to go on drinking binges," said Yao Shufang, the plaza's developer.

"Just like theme parks, bars are supposed to have a theme. I think beer-themed bar sounds rather attractive," said one regular bar-goer.

Perhaps you are not a regular bar-goer, but the friendly and delightful atmosphere of this place is worth checking out.
