Argentina's soccer great Diego Armando Maradona has left the psychiatric clinic, but was expected to continue alcohol abuse treatment at home, according to Argentine media on Monday.
Maradona's personal doctor Alfredo Cahe said the soccer legend would have to return to the Avril clinic in Buenos Aires three times a week, "with the difference that he will not sleep there any longer".
"His medication will be regulated and he will hold interviews with therapists," said Cahe.
The 46-year-old was hospitalized for alcoholic hepatitis in March before being moved to a psychiatric clinic two weeks ago, and holding him in hospital any longer "would have been counterproductive for his health," according to Cahe.
