Argentina's soccer legend Diego Maradona will stay in the Los Arcos sanatorium "some more days" until his liver analysis "are completely normal," his personal doctor Alfredo Cahe said Wednesday.
The clinic's report, where Maradona's has been treated since Friday, said the patient is "clinically stable."
On Tuesday, the clinic had said Maradona's medical discharge was imminent due to his recovery.
Maradona, 46, suffers an acute-toxic hepatitis due to his excessive drinking, which has caused two emergency hospitalizations in the past three weeks.
