Chris Bosh signed a multi-year contract extension with the Toronto Raptors on Friday, but terms of the deal were not released.
Bosh, an All-Star last year, led Toronto with 22.5 points, 9.2 rebounds and 39.3 minutes per game to go along with 2.6 assists in 70 games last season. The forward also set club records in free throws made (437) and attempted (551) while posting a team-high 32 double-doubles.
"Signing Chris Bosh to this contract extension was the top priority of this off-season and it solidifies our plan to make him the cornerstone of this franchise," Toronto general manager Bryan Colangelo said in Toronto.
In 226 career contests, Bosh is averaging 16.8 points, 8.5 rebounds and 1.32 blocks per game. Bosh, selected fourth overall by Toronto in the 2003 draft, was named to the USA Senior Men's Program in March.
